Anger is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on June 5, 2003. It was the last Metallica album released through Elektra Records and the final collaboration between Metallica and producer Bob Rock, who had worked with Metallica since 1991. The artwork was created by Metallica collaborator Pushead. Prior to recording, bassist Jason Newsted left the band, which resulted in Bob Rock playing the bass guitar on the album

Anger was released on June 5, 2003 through Elektra Records. Not only was it the band's first album of the 21st century, but it was the band's last album released through Elektra, thus marking the end of the longest timespan between studio albums from Metallica, with nearly six years between the release of ReLoad and this album.

Well, that is a pop-music mentality (just like liking Master of Puppets just because everyOne else does) and I decided to be really different and give this album a second chance. Though I don't think Metallica has ever dOne a true "concept" album, I think this is about the closest they've ever got.
