Not Music" is a material recorded in 2008, during the study sessions of "Chemical Chords", I'll never understand why this album came out not at that time, I respect their decision, but what really matters is that they published, Stereolab is one of the few bands that always fascinates you, I am deeply amazed and entranced by this album at times sounds. like Stereolab early work, in other tracks we find new things

Transient Random-Noise Bursts with Announcements is the second studio album by English-French avant-pop band Stereolab. It was originally released on 24 August 1993 in the United Kingdom by Duophonic Records and in the United States by Elektra Records. The majority of the first 1,500 vinyl copies were destroyed due to bad pressing quality

Though Not Music was released in 2010, it was recorded at the same time as 2008’s Chemical Chords, after touring in support of which Stereolab went on hiatus. Despite its semi-archival status, the album sounds fresh, and distinct from Chemical Chords.

This 2010 release, a post-hiatus creation, was given as a farewell to their fans when they announced their split. Not Music was made during the touring for Chemical Chords and it still amazes that a group that have released so much material can still feel they still have so much more to give. It may be that their diversity that has shown so much gradation within every song have given them such an impenetrable force that it has become almost too hard to dislike.

Listen free to Stereolab – Not Music (Everybody's Weird Except Me, Supah Jaianto and more). This is the second album to come out of the band's 2007 reconvention at Instant Zero, their studio in Bordeaux (the first one being the 2008 album "The Trip"). Release date is November 16, 2010. ABC Music: The Radio 1 Sessions, released in October 2002, is a compilation by post-rock band Stereolab of BBC Radio 1 sessions recorded from July 1991 to August 2001. It includes appearances in John Peel and Mark Radcliffe's shows and it is a CD-only release. Super-Electric" – 4:48 (Peel, 30/7/1991). Difficult Fourth Title" – 4:45. Laissez Faire" – 3:57 (Peel, 28/6/1992). John Cage Bubblegum" – 2:56.

On their last official album, 2008’s Chemical Chords, Stereolab was still making hypnotic pop bricolage from Krautrock, lounge, and psychedelia, fussing with a distinctive sound, as they had for the past decade, while declining to advance it in fundamentally new directions. Not Music contains 12 selections from the Chemical Chords sessions plus remixes of two of that album’s highlights

Not Music was released in 2010, one year after Stereolab went on a hiatus. Most of the songs on the album were recorded in the same session as the band's previous album, Chemical Chords  . Rebecca Raber of Pitchfork Media was also positive, writing "I suspect it won't be long before we realize that.

Talk about Stereolab - Not Music

Credits are inaccurate. Tim Gane wrote every track with Laetitia Sadier, except A4 which he wrote solo.

This record is beaaauutttiiifulllllll, ugh. Even through my relatively shoddy headphones and amplifier I've been using for the moment, the bass and the clarity of it is just so crisp and full. Sounds incredible. Plus the blue of the vinyl is a gorgeous dreamy shade.

DELECTABLE SOUND PLEASANT!!! ***** It is difficult to find words that define Stereolab, especially when writing any kind of review that will make them honor so special and spectacular musical group. Appear in my mind three words, DELECTABLE SOUND PLEASANT, in my very personal opinion, Stereolab has an impeccable career, so prolific, brilliant, creative and full of hits accurate facts and good taste with an incomparable genius, a musical style hard to categorize, you can not place labels, and I like a lot. "Not Music" is a material recorded in 2008, during the study sessions of "Chemical Chords", I'll never understand why this album came out not at that time, I respect their decision, but what really matters is that they published, Stereolab is one of the few bands that always fascinates you, I am deeply amazed and entranced by this album at times sounds like Stereolab early work, in other tracks we find new things. For me it would be very difficult to pass the time and not having a new Stereolab album to buy, as they looked out the idea of separation of the group, so this album is as fallen from heaven, and also grabbed me by surprise. Lætitia Sadier & Tim Gane (and the other members of Stereolab) are incredibly imaginative, have a hook that gets you to not let you go anymore, of course we are the icing on a celestial perch called Stereolab, sounds incredible change in the tempo of the music, is like an elastic sound and self-energy, vibrant and bright, keyboards, amazing, delicious vocals, awesome, colorful, retro futurism, with touches of jazz, avant pop and soul, hypnotic pop bricolage from Krautrock, lounge, and psychedelia, fussing with a distinctive sound, and everything made in the lyrics of rock, are like a big burst of multicolored jets caressing my mind and my ears. Stereolab and deserves recognition for their career so special and creative, and I believe that this great recognition and a great reverence we can make it possible, people like me who love deeply in one of the biggest bands called Stereolab. Honestly and with my heart full of feeling, I do not want this to be the last album by Stereolab, but if so, I have no more to say... AWESOME, BRAVO, SPECTACULAR FINAL, will always be in my mind and my heart. Hey guys I wish you well in their individual careers as soloists SUCCESSFUL. 4ever STEREOLAB.
