Anthology, also known as Anthology: The Best of The Supremes, first released in May 1974, is a series of same or similarly titled compilation albums by The Supremes. Motown released revised versions in 1986, 1995 and 2001. In its initial version, a 35-track triple record collection of hits and rare material, the album charted at on Billboard's "Black Albums" and on "Pop Albums".

When it was released in 1974, Motown's Diana Ross and the Supremes Anthology was the most comprehensive compilation yet issued on one of the 1960s' most popular groups. A 35-track triple LP, it superseded the 1967 double-LP Greatest Hits, including 17 of that album's 20 tracks, as well as the 1969 Greatest Hits, Volume 3, all of which was repeated.

Diana Ross & the Supremes: The No. 1s is a 2003 compact disc collection of the number-one singles achieved by The Supremes when led by Diana Ross (they subsequently had a No. 1 hit with "Stoned Love") and solo Diana Ross singles on the American and United Kingdom pop charts. The album features 23 tracks and a bonus remix.

The item is a good quality product and it had the songs that my album had. Good jo. uk claim 23 tracks on CD2. Some other issues are mono, some have less tracks, all have different covers, although one is a mirror image of this so microphone on the right. Diana Ross was the best lead singer in all the girl groups. The way she weaves inside and out of the harmonies and Motown sound sets her apart.

I don’t own any of the albums in this list, although I do own albums by The Police and Bruce Springsteen. I am familiar with The Police’s Outlandos D’Amour, and I nearly chose that album to blog about. But, instead I chose to blog about the Anthology album by Diana Ross and The Supremes, as I blogged about The Police a few weeks ago (here). The Supremes are the most commercially successful of all the Motown recording artists. This collection has 48 tracks, including all of their best known songs like Where Did Our Love Go?, Stop! In The Name of Love, You Can’t Hurry Love and Reflections.
