Blows Against the Empire. Blows Against The Empire. Blow's Against The Empire" was an Experiment in the "Science Fiction" of Rock Music. Things had changed, by 1970, Flower Power had wilted, Haight Ashbury had become a bad trip, Marty had split, Jorma and Jack had formed Hot Tuna, and Spencer had taken some time off. The Airplane was Grounded, and it was time to Reinvent themselves.
