The album features production from 2Pac's close producers Tony Pizarro, Johnny "J" and QDIII, and appearances from Big Syke and Nate Dogg.

The discography of Tupac Shakur, an American rapper, consists of eleven studio albums. Four were released before Shakur's death on September 13, 1996, and seven were posthumously released, the first being The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, released on November 5, 1996 (although the album was finished before Shakur's death). As of June 2014, he was the second best-selling hip hop/rap artist of the Nielsen Soundscan era in the United States with 29,235,000 albums sold.
As Chopmaster J explains on the back cover, "I thought that Tupac's fans would like to hear what his first recordings sounded like back when turntables, TR-808 and SP-12 drum machines and socially conscious themes ruled hip-hop. Though there's indeed little more here than skeletal drum machine beats for production, it's 2Pac's rhymes that are most interesting. Panther Power" is perhaps his most inspired moment here and an omen of the outspokenness that would eventually come to characterize 2Pac
