Crusader is Chris de Burgh's fourth album, released by A&M Records in 1979. The album was produced by Andrew Powell, who has worked with the Alan Parsons Project in many of their early albums. The Eastern Wind album from Chris was not one that radios aired much. Yet, it does have a few interesting gems on them to (re) discover, the song Sailor being one of them obviously. The production and sound was a bit basic but Chris still managed to deliver the emotion and creativity on most tracks. This album represents well Chris' attempt to transition from his folk rock roots to a more more modern rock sound, judged by the array of various styles expressed on the album. Then, he sailed on to a true commercial success. Chris, a great sailor !
