Heroin (The Velvet Underground song). Heroin" is a song by the Velvet Underground, released on their 1967 debut album, The Velvet Underground & Nico. Written by Lou Reed in 1964, the song, which overtly depicts heroin use and abuse, is one of the band's most celebrated compositions

This album has an average beat per minute of BPM (slowest/fastest tempos:, BPM). Ya Heroin Fix. 2'59.

Heroin formed in 1989, during the oft-called emo explosion that took place on the East coast of America. Yeah that’s right, the oft-called emo explosion. Anyway, around this time, a number of bands were taking the stylings of the hardcore punk scene in a new direction. First up are the six songs that were on their All About Heroin EP with my highlight being the opener, ‘Headcold’. Personally, I think that EP is the best example of Heroin’s work. Every song is an excellent representation of their energetic, angsty style, with relatively simple song structures but punchy vocals and strong guitar lines.

The third album from Chicago stoner/doom metal band Bongripper. Although technically twelve separate (albeit unnamed) tracks, the entire album is instrumental and is composed mostly of ambient guitar sounds and other noises. In this sense, it’s a departure from their traditional style. True to its name, a kit containing heroin paraphernalia was packaged with the album. More Bongripper albums.

Heroin and Your Veins is music for the sake of music. Emphasis being on spontaneity, intuition and perfectionism. Careful planning shaking hands with improvisation. Imagine a surf band from Hell, or an experimental lounge band with a really bad hangover.

Heroin was an American hardcore punk band formed in San Diego in 1989 within the underground Californian punk scene. They released 18 songs before breaking up in 1993, pioneering a style of music later described as screamo. Heroin was a pioneer of the screamo genre. They were noted for the psychological intensity of their songs, which tended to be very short and include extraordinarily fast drumming and screamed vocals.

For example, I know what heroin does to people but I’d love to try it. But I’ll never do it. Not because I don’t want to, but because I know what would it do to people around me.

Notes

"This seven inch was done in a day at a place in Santee."
The insert is a cardstock 23 x 15 cm fold-out with basically the original artwork and the lyrics.
Another different feature is that "gravity 1" is printed on silver on the centre labels of the 7".
Gravity's logo and address are printed on the back cover of the sleeve instead of the lyrics.
