2011 Live at the Palladium, New York City, 7 January 1978. Leathers from New York. The Chrysalis Years Anthology. 2002 Expanded & Remastered. Best Of The EMI Years. I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend. Howard Stern: Private Parts (The Album). 1997 Music from and Inspired By the Motion Picture.

The Ramones were an American punk rock band from New York City. Their discography consists of fourteen studio albums, seven live albums, sixteen compilation albums, seventy-one singles, thirty-two music videos and ten films. The band formed in early 1974, and upon signing with Seymour Stein of Sire Records, the Ramones released their self-titled debut album on April 23, 1976.

The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving only limited commercial success initially, the band was highly influential in the United States and the United Kingdom. All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", although none of them were biologically related

Road to Ruin is the fourth studio album by American punk rock band the Ramones, released on September 21, 1978, through Sire Records as LP record, 8 track cartridge & audio cassette. It was the first Ramones album to feature new drummer Marky Ramone, who replaced Tommy Ramone. Tommy left due to lack of previous albums sales and stress while touring; however, he stayed with the band to produce the album with Ed Stasium.

With the three-chord assault of "Blitzkrieg Bop," The Ramones begins at a blinding speed and never once over the course of its 14 songs does it let up. The Ramones is all about speed, hooks, stupidity, and simplicity. The songs are imaginative reductions of early rock & roll, girl group pop, and surf rock.

Notes

This version pressed at Specialty Records Corporation, as indicated by the SR1 and the SRC logo in the deadwax. The embossed and clearly visible letters E A S T around the spindle hole of the b-side [see images] also refer to Specialty Records Corporation and make this a label variation of this version which has the same labels (the full Burbank address at the bottom rim of the labels), but does not carry the embossed E A S T. This version's deadwax does not contain the STERLING stamp.

As described on Disocgs (here), the E A S T around the spindle hole means that this version was made with metal parts that were originally made for use at Allied Record Company.

Of note is that the etchings on the B-side carry the etched "WW" and "─◁" sign, which, as outlined on Discogs (here), is a reference to the Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Winchester [see images]. At time of submission it was unclear how each side could carry the signs of a different pressing plant. A version with basically the same deadwax etchings (but different labels) can be found here.

The Burbank address didn't appear on the Sire label until late '80 or early '81 (source), so this reissue must have been released around that time or later. Since the actual year of reissue is unknown, it has also not been submitted.
