London City Mission was set up by David Nasmith on 16 May 1835 in the Hoxton area of east London. The first paid missionary was Lindsay Burfoot. Today it is part of the wider City Mission Movement. The London City Mission's early work centred on the poor and destitute, developing a wide range of charitable help including Ragged Schools and ministering to working people

London City Voices is so much more than your average London choi. e are a community, a group of friends, an increasingly-large group of drinking buddie. nd we are also a dynamic non-religious, non-audition community London choir. We have four branches: West End on Monday evenings, Victoria on Tuesday evenings, City of London on Wednesday evenings and Waterloo on Thursday evenings. The aim of London City Voices is to give people an opportunity to sing their hearts out up to four times a week after work. We come together to have some fun and make a great sound (and then go to the pub!)
