Joe Gibbs & The Professionals - African Dub Chapter Five flac album

The third chapter of Joe Gibbs' African Dub All-Mighty series was released in 1978, following the success of the first two chapters and the instrumental set, State of Emergency. Chapter Four arrived in 1979. Chapter Three was the most commercially successful of the series and genuinely brought the dub form to the ears of many listeners outside the reggae community. These recordings feature the house band working under the usual name 'The Professionals. The main players were drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Lloyd Parks (and sometimes Robbie Shakespeare), with guitarist Winston "Bo Pee" Bowen, and keyboardist Franklyn "Bubbler" Waal. Other than Dunbar and Shakespeare, these musicians were the core of Lloyd Parks' touring band, We The People - the same group that backed Dennis Brown for much of his career.
