The music is just fun and fresh and has an appeal that spans many tastes. This album gives me the feeling of sitting-in on a jam session of old friends who are having one heck of a good time. 3 people found this helpful.

Earl Eugene Scruggs (January 6, 1924 – March 28, 2012) was an American musician noted for popularizing a three-finger banjo picking style, now called "Scruggs style," which is a defining characteristic of bluegrass music. His three-finger style of playing was radically different from the traditional way the five-string banjo had previously been played. This new style of playing became popular and elevated the banjo from its previous role as a background rhythm instrument to featured solo status

This song is by Earl Scruggs and appears on the album Earl Scruggs And Friends (2002). I saw grandma yesterday down at the storeWell she's really going fine for eighty fourWell she asked me if sometime I'd fix her barnPoor old girl she needs a hand to run the farm.
