I cannot recommend this album enough, and I still can't believe this is a debut album! The music is tasteful and mature, and the lyrical content is inspiring and imaginative: You don't find that hand-in-hand very often.

Concert pianist famous in her own right and for a unique duo with her husband. Niel Immelman writes: I first met Phyllis Sellick when I was studying with her husband Cyril Smith at the Royal College of Music. She was a strikingly beautiful woman, rather shy, and Cyril clearly adored her. I often turned pages for him at their concerts, applying the una corda pedal for him as well, and acted as the third-piano "orchestra" for concerto rehearsals.

Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. Mono and stereo versions have an identical sleeve and the same number on the back (D/905) - the mono version has "D-905" on beige 'strobe' labels, while the stereo has "SD-905" on green 'strobe' labels. There is a printed "stereo" rosette on the back, and the mono has a red sticker with "mono" placed over this (though these tend to drop off with age). The cover design was later re-used for S/4379.

Issued as a 'dividend' release, offered at a low price ($1.80 vs the regular $3.75) for club members who had bought one LP or more in the previous 12 months - the "D" is no doubt a code for "Dividend".
