This album is a truthful recording of Ten Years After with no overdubs or additives. What you hear is what happened on the night. Recorded over four nights in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Frankfurt and Paris with the Rolling Stones' mobile recording truck and later mixed from sixteen track to stereo at Olympic Studios in London. In answer to the inferior live recordings sold illegally: this is the official Ten Years After bootleg.

Ten Years After are a British blues rock band, most popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Between 1968 and 1973, Ten Years After scored eight Top 40 albums on the UK Albums Chart. In addition they had twelve albums enter the US Billboard 200, and are best known for tracks such as "I'm Going Home", "Hear Me Calling", "I'd Love to Change the World" and "Love Like a Man". Their musical style consisted of blues rock and hard rock.

Undead is a live album by Ten Years After, recorded at the small jazz club, Klooks Kleek, in London, May 1968, and released in August of that year. The show combined blues, boogie and jazz playing that merged more traditional rock and roll with 1950s-style jump blues. With the recent passing of Ten Years After's guitarist and singer Alvin Lee, I (yesterday) bought an MP3 copy of their "Recorded Live" album which was originally released sometime in 1973. Having had the 2-vinyl LP copy of this release, and the subsequent CD release also, I always suspected that there was something missing from these two recording versions. Do what I did, and get the album as an MP3 copy, as that is where the "extra" tracks are to be found. I am running a pair of Audio Engine 2+ powered computer speakers, on my HP laptop, and Alvin Lee and company sound GREAT.

For the first time since the festival the band will be playing the actual set list they played at Woodstock in its entirety as well as many other songs from their vast back catalogue.
