Yardbirds/Featuring Performances by Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page contains a selection of live, rare and alternate takes, plus a handful of hits, that the Yardbirds recorded at various times during their career. There are certainly some fine moments here, but they can be found on better, more coherent collections that offer a better portrait of the Yardbirds' career, or at least their rarities.
Live Yardbirds: Featuring Jimmy Page is a live album by English rock group the Yardbirds. It was recorded at the Anderson Theatre in New York City on 30 March 1968. At the time, the Yardbirds had been performing as a quartet with Jimmy Page on lead guitar since October 1966. The album includes several familiar Yardbird songs, but often extended with longer instrumental solos. I'm Confused," based on Jake Holmes' "Dazed and Confused", is a highlight of the album

The Yardbirds' legacy may rest in large part on their having launched the musical careers of three of rock and roll's most celebrated lead guitarists - Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Like Jimmy Reed Again - Jeff Beck. 9. What Do You Want - Jeff Beck. 10. Stroll On - Jeff Beck. Although this collection of early Clapton/Page/Beck can still be considered important, it is (like a similar collection on the market, "White Boy Blues" . ) incomplete. Where "WBB" is missing three Clapton tracks ("West Coast Idea", "Choker", and "Tribute to Elmore"), this collection is missing Beck's "Steelin'" and "Chuckles". Format: Audio CD. What a great album.
