Released October 1985. Frankenchrist Tracklist. 1. Soup Is Good Food Lyrics. By the time this album rolled around, there were some tensions in the band. It took some time to regroup because Faulty Products had ripped us off so badly- the independent arm of IRS. It took a while to put pieces together. Faulty Products was the independent distribution of IRS. The M in A&M records, which distributed IRS, was Jerry Moss, who was reportedly a yachting buddy of Ted Kennedy, so no way a band named Dead Kennedys was going to go out through A&M. It was a blessing in disguise as far as I’m concerned. By the time we made it, I felt really strongly that punk and hardcore.

Frankenchrist is the third album released by the American hardcore punk band Dead Kennedys in 1985 on Alternative Tentacles. The album is an example of the progressive, psychedelic side of Dead Kennedys' musical personality. The spaghetti western soundtrack influence is also noticeable in the horn parts and in East Bay Ray's atmospheric guitar work. Frankenchrist is noted for its relative lack of traditionally 'hardcore' material.
Released after a three-year studio hiatus, this album picks up right where Plastic Surgery Disasters left off. As always, the lyrics are among the most literate and angry in all of rock & roll. Goons of Hazard" scores the culture of guns and the rednecks who love them, utilizing full-textured hard rock to set the verses.
