Greg Passano Blistering album that holds up to this day. Sacrilege was so far ahead of their time. Relapse is honored to present the first ever fully authorized reissue of the legendary UK band Sacrilege's landmark debut 'Behind The Realms Of Madness'. Originally released in 1985, Sacrilege were one of the first bands of the 80s that both punks and metalheads rallied behind. Propelled by singer Lynda 'Tam' Simpson's ferocious vocals and polticically charged lyrics, 'Behind The Realms of Madness' blended crust, thrash, hardcore, doom and death-metal to create a timeless album that has directly influenced scores of punks and heshers alike

There's also a first press on red vinyl sold as a mispress due to having a wrong bonus track: instead of playing "Dig Your Own Grave", plays a song of the Punk band Death Sentence from the same compilation where the Sacrilege song was took off. From this press only 150-200 records were on sale. 1). Kildneybean (95/100). Crisp and so freaking awesome!

After replacing drummer Liam Pickering with Andy Baker, Sacrilege recorded their first album, "Behind the Realms of Madness", in 1985, which was released through the Bristol-based label Children of the Revolution Records. The album was moderately successful, selling a respectable 7000 copies. Shortly after this, the band brought in former Warhammer member Mitch Dickinson on second guitar, although he never played live with the band and he soon left to join hardcore punk group Heresy and later Unseen Terror.

Talk about Sacrilege - Behind The Realms Of Madness

It's impossible that were pressed only 50 copies. Only here on Discogs 42 are registered by owners and other two are for sale...
Amhirishes
I asked Pushead about the numbers on this one and he said no pressing plant did as small runs as 50 copies back then. He couldn't give an exact amount but said it was more than 50.
crazy mashine
i agree theres probly more than 50 blue...i own 6 now used to have 9(sold 3 of them).(in the image section) i submitted a portion of a letter from pushead to the band regarding the blue pressing.500 blue were pressed by mistake all were supposed to be black due to cost . pus kept 50 for band? and returned the rest to the rec.plant. my guess is the plant shuffled the returned blue with the black stuff instead of melting them down? i dont know just a theory.tried to track down ppl with blue a few times just for kicks back in myspace days with tony from sac.i think we got up to 30 or so pics of fan submissions of their blue.i believe damian from sac was trying to do it on facebook recently too?so who knows... but its cool when one pops up outta the blue :)

Great pressing with strong clarity by Relapse. Disc 2 is just an added bonus that makes the purchase even more worth it. This is definitely the best reissue and wouldn't bother with the others unless it's the GURT or PUSMORT pressings.
Kupidon
the crackling noise at the first song is HORRIBLE.very poor recording/transfer. i will be buying the relapse version !
