The XX - The Black Sessions flac album

The Black Sessions is the second greatest hits compilation album by Swedish metal band Katatonia, released on February 21, 2005 through Peaceville. The compilation includes hit songs, B-sides and rarities recorded on the band's previous studio albums (from Tonight's Decision to Viva Emptiness). A live DVD for the band performing in Krakow, Poland in April 2003 is also included in the compilation.

Black Sessions are performances of live music broadcast on the French radio station France Inter. They are recorded in front of a live audience and feature on the C'est Lenoir show. The name is a pun based on the name of their creator, Bernard Lenoir, translated literally as "Bernard the black".

Sessions was a compilation album by the Beatles planned for release by EMI in 1984 but never issued due to objections by the surviving Beatles. The album consisted of thirteen finished but unreleased Beatles songs. A planned single containing two of the tracks from Sessions – "Leave My Kitten Alone", backed with an alternative version of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" – was also left unissued. The idea was resurrected in 1995 as The Beatles Anthology.

The xx are Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim and Jamie Smith. xx, their debut album, was recorded at XL Recordings’ in-house studio and released in August 2009. The xx‘s Jamie xx has said that the band have been recording their third album in Texas. During the musician and producer’s BBC 6 Music 6 Mix residency on May 2, he played a song by Texan country musician Mickey Newbury and explained to listeners that his band were recently in the singer’s home state, working on the follow up to 2012’s ‘Coexist’.
