Greatest Hits is a greatest hits album by the English girl group Spice Girls. It received a physical release worldwide throughout November 2007, except for the United States where it received a limited release on 6 November 2007 through Victoria's Secret and a full release on 15 January 2008. It was their first album to be released in seven years and was supported by an accompanying world tour. The album was the world's best selling girl group album of 2007.

Well, of course the Spice Girls needed a greatest-hits album. They'd need one even if they weren't reuniting for a world tour that is as heavily hyped if not as anticipated as Led Zeppelin's (which of course is just a one-time shot, right?), as they were a singles-oriented group without a singles album in their catalog. But music was always secondary to the Spice Girls' girl power image: they had enough great singles to be huge for a couple years but not enough to be more than a quicksilver pop culture phenomenon and that brief moment in time is documented better on this Greatest Hits than any of their three albums.

Spice Girls were the biggest pop band of the 90's and like their male counterparts Take That before them they dominated the global charts although unlike Take That this also included North America. As good as Spice Girls music is their strategy and buisness sense is even better and what made them the biggest pop act of the decade. This album has their classic hits from beginning until the end. I recommend this cd to any pop music or Spice Girls fan out there, you won't be disappointed, its worth the try and I give this one two thumbs up, A++++++ for this one, I love it and the inside insert has nice pictures of them old and new, and it gives the lryics to each song on it a collectors item. too for any music fan out there. 4 people found this helpful.
