Song by Harry James and Kitty Kallen. The Harry James recording returned to the top spot on December 22 for another week Les Paul recalled in an interview for Mojo magazine, "Bing was a sucker for guitar and that particular song was a case of you don't have to play a lot of notes, you just have to play the right notes.

Kiss me once, then kiss me twice Then kiss me once again It’s been a long, long time Haven't felt like this, my dear Since I can't remember when It’s been a long, long time. You'll never know how many dreams I've dreamed about you Or just how empty they all seemed without you So kiss me once, then kiss me twice Then kiss me once again It's been a long, long time. Originally written by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn in 1932, the song peaked the charts when the Harry James recording, with vocals from Kitty Kallen, was first released in 1945. A recording of the same song by Bing Crosby would take the top spot from James and Kallen around two weeks after.
