Femejism is the second studio album by American rock duo Deap Vally. It was released in September 2016 by Nevado Music. The album was produced by Yeah Yeah Yeahs' guitarist Nick Zinner. The album title Femejism wasn’t tacked on just for kicks. Deap Vally have inevitably dealt with (in one way or another) the concept of feminism. They’ve dealt with it throughout their lives, let alone their careers. Here, on this album, they address it directly. In Smile More, Lindsey declares And yes I am a feminist, But that isn’t why I started doing this. They do not wish to separate themselves from the label.
