Walter Quintus ( born April 15, 1949 in Bremen ) is a German musician, composer, sound engineer and music producer. Quintus studied from 1955 to 1969 violin and was in 1959 concertmaster in youth orchestras. It was followed by many European tours as well as radio and television productions. At the age of 18 years to study with David Oistrakh in Moscow, but he finished his classical studies and founded, together with Thomas Olivier and Lothar Siems, the rock band Parzival. In the early years he worked with commercial musicians and bands such as Rex Gildo, rough cut, Kraan, Kraftwerk, Vicky Leandros, Udo Lindenberg, Lonzo, Jahn Teigen, Otto Waalkes, Roger Whittaker and many others. End of the 70s he produced Rolf and Joachim Kühn. He changed from a commercial to the artistic avant-garde camp.

German pianist Joachim Kühn could have had a career in classical music had he not early on developed an enthusiasm for jazz under the influence of his older brother, clarinettist Rolf Kühn. In the early seventies, he became intensely involved with electric keyboards. Yet, he was always working in an acoustic context along with his work in (electric) bands like Jean-Luc Ponty or Association . His trio with bassist Jean-François Jenny-Clark and drummer Daniel Humair dates back to these early Paris days. In the second half of the seventies, Joachim Kühn immersed himself in the West-Coast fusion scene where he played with musicians like Alphonse Mouzon, Billy Cobham, Eddie Gomez and Michael Brecker
