The Good News Bible (GNB), also called the Good News Translation (GNT) in the United States, is an English translation of the Bible by the American Bible Society. It was first published as the New Testament under the name Good News for Modern Man in 1966. It was anglicised into British English by the British and Foreign Bible Society with the use of metric measurements for the Commonwealth market.

The good news is that Good News doesn't sound like Nova Mob or 1991's visceral Last Days of Pompeii, nor does it repeat his more introspective 1989 solo LP Intolerance or 1988's accomplished 2541 EP. Production-wise, this is the most pleasant Hart has come across. A sugar rush is added to his pronounced hooks, adding warmth without robbing the attack of vitality. It's hard to describe - the first thought might be the exuberance of Cheap Trick on "Surrender," only not so thumping

Grant Hart claims he left Hüsker Dü because no one took him seriously as a singer/songwriter, and that guitarist Bob Mould was typically seen as the creative center of the band. That's unfair, of course, since Hart was responsible for close to half of their oeuvre. But it's equally unfair that, in the 13 years since the Hüskers split, Mould's solo career has overshadowed Hart's, both in prolificacy and measure of success
