I got the record directly from the musician (Claes Rydberg) two years ago and still consider this collection of his early death ambient and moody rhythmic experiments the finest in the huge discography of Defekt.

Seal is the debut studio album by Seal, released in 1991. It contains the singles "Crazy", "Future Love Paradise", "The Beginning", "Killer" and "Violet". The album debuted at in the UK and went on to win Best British Album at the 1992 Brit Awards. Seal's following album, released in 1994, was also named Seal. It is usually referred to as Seal II. There are two versions of the album, with minor and major differences in three songs

A collection of tracks originally recorded between 1989 and 1991. Tracks 17 and 24 were reworked in 2000. Tracks 1 to 16 appeared on Hufvudwerk 89-91, which was released in 1992.

Tracks 2, 6, 9, 12, 14, 21, 23, 24, 25 and 27 appear on Just Remote Silence ....
Tracks 1, 3, 11 and 28 appear on Extremely Dead.
Tracks 4, 5, 7, 10, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 26 appear on Head.
Tracks 8, 16 and the original version of track 15 appear on Nerv & Taste Of Aluminium Foil.

I got the record directly from the musician (Claes Rydberg) two years ago and still consider this collection of his early death ambient and moody rhythmic experiments the finest in the huge discography of Defekt. The sound is unpolished and quite variegated due to a smart mix of the up-beat and totally obtrusive slower tracks which reveal one of the earliest old school projects with its own face behind the industrial persona. Rarity.
