Grotesque manic display of misery Forfait values, refuge for vanity Unholy masturbation Self-inflicted drama For the drama craving drama queens. Hold a mirror to society A piss poor display of displaced narcissism Wretched whores Animus violence Displaying animosity Rancour distrust Warmongering. Oh holy devastation Divide and conquer Spreading fear, hatred and disbelief Hold a mirror to society A perfect display of misanthropy. Obey the terrorvision Demonic manipulation Spreading hate Spreading death Fear
Aborted is a band that needs little introduction. Still, for those who need a refresher, this Belgium-based band has been around since 1995 and released around nine full-lengths and a substantial amount of EPs, demos, and splits. As TerrorVision begins, the introduction prepares for the wakes of blood that will soon envelop you. The title track gives the high-speed destruction expected of the band. Churning lead riffs, punishing vocals, and even a high-speed slam halfway through the track gets the mood going.

ABORTED's new album, "TerrorVision", will be released on September 21 via Century Media Records. The artwork was created by Pär Olofsson (EXODUS, IMMOLATION, IMMORTAL) and can be seen below. With "The Necrotic Manifesto" and ABORTED's last album, "Retrogore", already showcasing what the band is capable of, "TerrorVision" lifts death metal to a higher level of intensity, atmosphere and brutality
It might be a stretch to call TerrorVision the best album that Aborted has put out in their over 20 year history, though it’s definitely a cut above most of what they’ve put out since their highly regarded 2003 opus Goremageddon: The Saw And The Carnage Done. This isn’t to say that the technically infused displays heard on albums like The Necrotic Manifesto and Retrogore are slouches, but overall the only real strike that can be called against this album is that it may be just a tad too ambitious for its own good. The ultra tight playing and modern production makes "TerrorVision" one hell of a product. But what about the music style and songwriting? Let's dive deeper into that part!
