Children of Time is a 2015 science fiction novel by author Adrian Tchaikovsky. The work was praised by the Financial Times for "tackling big themes-gods, messiahs, artificial intelligence, alienness-with brio. It was selected from a shortlist of six works and a total pool of 113 books to be awarded the Arthur C. Clarke Award for best science fiction of the year in August 2016.

Children of God is the fifth studio album by American experimental rock band Swans. It was released on October 19, 1987, through record label Caroline. The album marks a change in direction from Swans' early work. More tracks utilize acoustic guitars and more melodic vocals. The lyrics also focus more prominently on religious themes.

Children of Bodom was formed in 1993 by guitarist Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho and drummer Jaska Raatikainen under the name of Inearthed. They both worked for the same company at the time. Shortly after Inearthed signed this contract, Spinefarm Records' boss became interested in signing them for a country-wide release. The latter deal was much more attractive to the band since the Belgian label was offering them close to no help, to the point where they would have to distribute and sell the album themselves. Children of Bodom featured a contest to promote their new album in which anyone could win prizes featuring an ESP/LTD M-53 electric guitar, the band's entire back catalog, and Skeletons in the Closet. The contest ran from 25 August to 21 September 2009. The winners were announced 28 September 2009.

Although children below bar/bat mitzvah age are not obligated to sit shiva, some children may choose to participate. The decision to follow the traditions of Jewish mourning, and/or keep some of the mourning restrictions, will vary with the age, maturity level and understanding of each child.
