Elvis Presley (released in the UK as Elvis Presley Rock n' Roll) is the debut studio album by American rock and roll singer Elvis Presley. It was released on RCA Victor, catalog number LPM-1254, in March 1956. The recording sessions took place on January 10 and January 11 at the RCA Victor recording studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and on January 30 and January 31 at the RCA Victor studios in New York.

Presley was just as committed performing "Shake a Hand" in 1975 as he had been cutting "Milk Cow Blues Boogie" 20 years before. There is some overlap here with other albums in the series, and it's hard to figure, for example, why Chuck Berry's "Memphis Tennessee" is here, while his "Too Much Monkey Business" is on The Rocker, or how it can be that one version of "Ain't That Loving You Baby" belongs on this album and a different one on The Rocker. But these are quibbles
