Zzujd breaks out with some 303 acid sounds over a nice IDM style beat. Restrained Ambitions is another stand out track on this wonderful release. This album closes with the beautiful Posledniy Son Starogo Robota. It’s a shame that this album is strictly limited to 150 hand numbered copies and pressed only on vinyl as it needs to reach a wider audience. The record is pressed on nice splatter vinyl and packed in an octagon shaped wax sleeve. The SEALT label has only been around for 2 years and it has really caught my attention.

This is another fantastic release off the Russian SEALT label. The opening track “Don’t You Miss Me” reminds me of some of Ruxpin’s best material. For the most part this release reminds me of what Germany’s Elekrolux / Mikrolux label was putting out 10 years ago. “Zzujd” breaks out with some 303 acid sounds over a nice IDM style beat. “Restrained Ambitions” is another stand out track on this wonderful release. This album closes with the beautiful “Posledniy Son Starogo Robota”. I look forward to many releases from this label. The music on this record breathes fresh air into the world of electronic music.

For me at least, this is one of the most important IDM releases in the last decade. A compilation of the very best tracks of the equally obscure and brilliant Russian act; STM. Delivered in a format both thoughtful and beautiful by Sealt, this has to be one of the most underrated and overlooked releases of recent times. Every track is killer; atmospheric and melodic at once, good for listening and for playing out. Its a crime that this release doesn't have greater exposure. But then, good for those of us who know about it already :)
