Holum Trio plays honest and extroverted improvisation music anchored in strong compositions. Since its inception in 2011, the trio has played over 70 concerts in Denmark and abroad and continues to gain a high level of activity. The band members have since the first album traveled a lot and bring new cultures and musical expressions into this album. There is a desire to tell short stories from the three musicians' lives through the music and a hope that the listener can feel a bit "away" in the good way in the different moods.

And with an untraditional combination of instruments where the musicians create melodic and dynamic layers and allow a simple melody to create tension, Holum Trio creates fresh new norwegian jazz. Borte is a summary of our musical journey since our first album and consists of African rhythms, Arabic tonalities, Nordic harmony and European freejazz with one foot safely planted in our roots. 2019 on the Norwegian up and coming jazz label AMP Records.
