Complete your Sly & The Family Stone collection. I bought 2 copies of this vinyl album back in 12/16. I was impressed with the sound and pressing quality. It was definitely pressed by RTI. All the tracks are true stereo, fortunately. Some of the tracks are actually the SQ quadraphonic versions from the 1970's as there never was an official stereo mix, like with "Hot Fun In The Summertime". Surprisingly, when I recorded this album t. av file, I didn't have to run it through my tick and pop remover program. This color vinyl LP version sounds a lot better than the original poorly done CD version. If you want it, get it.

It says much about the Family Stone's power and popularity in 1970 that a compilation ostensibly made to collect their past hits would end up creating three entirely new ones. Hot Fun" and "Thank You" were huge successes in their own right but perhaps the most timeless was "Everybody Is a Star. 6ix, I’m Just Like You (1970). Sly and the Family Stone were supposed to follow the Greatest Hits anthology with a new studio album in 1970. Instead, Stone decided to postpone that recording while moving his base of operations to Los Angeles, the first of many decisions that began to fray relationships within the band.
