The Swingles ‎– Christmas Album. I've listened through most of the Swingles' discography. In my opinion this release is their best. Ward Swingle's overlaid medley of "Winter Wonderland," "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is astounding. Reply Notify me Helpful.

The Swingles won Best Folk/World Album and Best European Album for Folklore. The original track Unmade from Folklore, written by Edward Randell, also won Best Folk/World Song. OneVoice went into the weekend with ten nominations and took home Best Holiday Album (This Christmas), Best Religious Song and Best High School Song ( Sun from Elemental), as well as runner-up for Best Religious Album (This Christmas), Best High School Album (Elemental), Best High School Solo (Katherine Ann Mohler on Islands from Elemental).

The Swingles are a vocal group formed in 1962 in Paris, France by Ward Swingle with Anne Germain, Claude Germain, Jeanette Baucomont, Christiane Legrand, Claudine Meunier, Jean-Claude Briodin, and Jean Cussac. Until 2011, the group consisted of eight voices: two sopranos, two altos, two tenors and two basses. The French group performed and recorded typically with only a double bass and drums as accompaniment.

Yule Songs Vol II is the first Christmas album by The Swingles since 2004, and is their best yet. The group have a long tradition of successful Christmas albums and this one was several years in the planning and execution.
