The percussionist Dinho Nascimento dedicated his solo album to his originals and the berimbau instrument (a stringed bow with a gourd for resonance, which is stroked with a stick and a coin). The instrument's limited resources can impede a fuller musical gratification, but Dinho invests heavily in the rich Bahian folklore, with singing, other percussive and even mainstream instruments, resulting in an appealing regional album (not a mainstream world album, even if there are pop songs like "Baronesa" and the Burgie/Attaway hit "Banana boat").
