Some People" is a 1985 single by British artist Belouis Some, from his 1985 debut album Some People. The song reached the Top 40 in the UK, peaking at on the UK Singles Chart in April 1986. the song reached on the Billboard Hot 100. A cover version by Murray Head was recorded and released as a single in 1986. The music video was directed by Storm Thorgerson, who also directed the controversial video to Belouis Some's earlier hit, Imagination.

Belouis Some (real name Neville Keighley, born 12/12/59) grew up in Forest Hill, South London. Started playing guitar and writing songs at school (Dulwich Prep, Royal Russell School). In 1982 put a band together and started playing clubs and small venues in and around London as Belouis Some. 1983 signed by Paul and Michael Berrow to Tritec Music and Parlophone (EMI Records). Some People (album) released 1985. Imagination video shot by Storm Thorgerson (Greenback Films) causing controversy because of full frontal nudity. Soon after, Some recorded his second album, Belouis Some in New York, which was produced by Gary Langan and Guy Fletcher. Pete Townshend and Julian Lennon made guest appearances on the record, while Phil Harding mixed "Let It Be with You". Of the nine tracks, Some solely wrote five of the songs and co-wrote the rest, three of which were co-written with producer Guy Fletcher  . Some wouldn't release his next and final studio album Living Your Life until 1993, although in 1989 he formed the band The Big Broadcast, and the band toured the UK playing small venues and clubs.
