Formed in the bowels of Bromley, London UK, the heavy metal riff machine that is Stoneghost have just signed to Mascot Label Group – home to Black Label Society and Volbeat. With previous storming sets at Bloodstock and Hammerfest they have drawn comparisons to Pantera, Lamb of God, Down and Corrosions of Conformity. They bring the noise and bring it loudly. Stoneghost are just metal. Groove laden heavy fucking metal. The kind that makes you want to down your pint and get your windmill on, these guys are one to watch'.

What Stoneghost have done on New Age Of Old Ways is to create a template for exactly how a cutting edge heavy metal record should sound in 2015. If this was an American band, we’d be fawning all over them desperately trying to make them the next big things. Stoneghost deserve the same treatment.

When recording 'New Age of Old Ways' they recruited the help of Russ Russell who has previously worked with Napalm Death, Evile, Dimmu Borgir, Sikth and New Model Army amongst others to harness the new direction they wanted to go as Stoneghost. All the songs on the album have a story or a deep meaning to the band – Stoneghost don't do metal clichés, if they are angry at something, they are specific to that issue, they don't work in vagueness and if they are not going for a direct punch in the face they want to tell a story
