In fact, myself and DJ Tanner the Surgeon General (now known as Shazam Bangles) were working on this up until pretty much last day there. That would make this mix finished in July of 2002. I should have the actual release date somewhere. I'll try to dig it up!-Kevin Beacham . The first in the series, "Applied Theories Of Time Travel" ('98) focused on the art of blending. That in mind, I picked song that I thought were equally or near equally complimentary in the beats and the rhymes. The 3rd in this series is "This Is Where You Got It From", which took a different approach.

What does a Surgeon do? Surgeons operate on the human body in the event of illness, injury, or disease. Sometimes surgeries are performed to correct problems in the body or to explore a cause of internal bleeding. Surgeons can perform any number of different surgical procedures on the body. Surgery involves the cutting into the body to repair, replace, or diagnose disease. It is important that the surgeon fully understand all of the aspects of the tools used when performing surgery. Since human life is at risk, they must be alert and on guard at all times. Surgeons must be prepared for all types of emergency situations and be able to carry out lifesaving initiatives at any time during an operation.

A general surgeon often does not have a specialty as to the type of surgery they perform; this is in contrast to specialists such as neurosurgeons or orthopedic surgeons, who perform a limited range of surgeries but typically have a much deeper knowledge of their particular area of specialty. Most surgeons begin their careers as a general surgeon before specializing further. General Surgeon Tasks. Diagnose and follow up with patients during clinic visits.

Since 1968, the Surgeon General has not administered the Public Health Service, and his/her main official duty has been to advise the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Assistant Secretary of Health on affairs of preventive health, medicine, and health policy. Left with few bureaucratic tasks, the Surgeons General since the 1960s have undertaken a more proactive role in informing the American public on health matters.

This is interview is from a real General Surgeon. I am a Doctor of Medicine who practices as a General Surgeon. General Surgery is the oldest specialty field in surgery. At one time, all surgery done in hospitals was done by a General Surgeon. As medicine has gotten more complex, the fields of Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Gynecology, Urology, et. have developed. How would you describe what you do? I practice in a five surgeon group in a rural area that has a 225 bed hospital We are a private, fee-for-service group, and not owned by a hospital.

The surgeon general also has some supervisory duties over the Commissioned Corps, that subgroup of uniformed health professionals within the . Department of Health and Human Services. The Corps-a quasi-military subgroup of roughly 6,800 within a department of 65,000 mostly civilian employees-is a remarkable collection of doctors, nurses, and other health professionals trained to be deployed to disease outbreaks, disaster sites, and other emergencies. Their aversion to risk and confrontation has allowed a parade of misinformed talkers to fill the airwaves and Internet with wrongheaded theories that, left unchallenged, lead to the detriment of public health.

Notes

I recorded this in 2002, just before I moved from Waukegan, IL (Chicago Area) to Minneapolis to work for Rhymesayers. In fact, myself and DJ Tanner the Surgeon General (now known as Shazam Bangles) were working on this up until pretty much last day there. That would make this mix finished in July of 2002. This mix is the 2nd in a series I started in 1998. The idea of the series was that each mix would focus on a specific aspect of DJing, particularly things that I thought were becoming lost arts or overlooked. The first in the series, "Applied Theories Of Time Travel" ('98) focused on the art of blending. This edition, "Turntable Of Contents" was an attempt to challenge DJs to not just picked records based on the beats, but be conscious of the lyrical content as well. That in mind, I picked song that I thought were equally or near equally complimentary in the beats and the rhymes. The 3rd in this series is "This Is Where You Got It From", which took a different approach. There I did a 2XCD mix that was just dedicated to the DJ. Every song selected is about the DJ or highlights the DJ in some form. I had the fourth one mapped out for some time now, but never got around to recording it. However, I'm strongly considering working on it before the year (2016) is over... -DJ Nikoless a.k.a Kevin Beacham
