Threshold are a progressive metal band, formed in Surrey, UK in the late 1980s. Threshold began their career in 1988, initially playing covers of metal groups like Ratt and Testament. As they continued playing together, they began to write their own songs, and eventually stopped playing covers altogether. Early recordings were released locally on cassette under the band name "If Not, Why?"

Threshold is the sixth studio album by the Swedish heavy metal band HammerFall. It was released in 2006 but on different dates for different countries. On October 18 2006 in Sweden then on October 20 in Europe followed by France and the UK on October 23 and finally in the United States on October 31. The album entered the Swedish charts at number one, staying on the chart for eight weeks. This was the band's first No. 1 since Renegade in 2000

Dweller on the Threshold is the fourth full-length album by San Fernando Valley, California-based Latin Rock band Tribe of Gypsies. It was written and recorded off and on between late 2000 and early 2006 with different personnel. Psychedelicatessen is the second studio album by Threshold, released in late 1994. It was their only studio album to feature Glynn Morgan on vocals until his return in 2017, and their only album with Nick Harradence playing drums. The band's members were displeased with the sound quality on the original release of the album, and had long desired to do a complete remix.
