Chroma is the debut studio album by the American rock band Cartel. Formed in mid-2003 Cartel self-released an EP the following year. Shortly afterwards founding guitarist Andy Lee left the band was replaced by Nic Hudson.

Chroma was American Pop-punk group Cartel’s first studio album, released under The Militia Group. Chroma was recorded after former bassist Ryan Roberts left the band, and was replaced by Jeff Lett. According to the band members in a Q&A session, Matter of Time was supposed to be Number 8, right before The Minstrel’s Prayer. After Matter Of Time became a massive hit, the label told Cartel to move it up, and that’s how it ended up fourth on the tracklist.
