Night Birds, released in 1982 on the Polydor label, is the second album by English jazz-funk band Shakatak. Night Birds established Shakatak's trademark jazz-funk sound, and contains two of the band's biggest hits, "Easier Said than Done" and "Night Birds", the former reaching the No. 12 spot in 1981, the latter climbing to No. 9 in the following year. All tracks written by William "Bill" Sharpe and Roger Odell except where indicated.

In 2011, Night Birds dropped their first album, The Other Side of Darkness, released by Grave Mistake. In early 2012, it was announced that Mike Hunchback was leaving Night Birds as their growing popularity made it difficult for him to keep up with their schedule; . Russo, who previously played with Phibes and Wormeaters, immediately stepped in to take his place. In 2013, the second Night Birds album arrived, Born to Die in Suburbia, which also appeared via Grave Mistake.
