Die Healing is the seventh studio album by doom metal band Saint Vitus, released in May 1995 via Hellhound Records. At the time of release it was the first album to feature original vocalist Scott Reagers in a decade and at the time the band's final album of the band's original run as an intent to "go out with a bang". It turned out to be the final album to feature the original lineup and the last album to feature founding drummer Armando Acosta, who passed away in 2010.

Saint Vitus is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1979. They are one of the first doom metal bands, alongside Pentagram, Witchfinder General, Trouble and Pagan Altar. Having released nine studio albums to date, Saint Vitus never achieved a popular breakthrough, but have exerted great influence on the development of doom metal, sludge metal, and stoner rock.

Die Healing is the seventh studio album by the American doom metal band Saint Vitus, released in 1995 by Hellhound Records. In addition to being their final album before disbanding in 1996, Die Healing saw the band reunite with the original lineup of vocalist Scott Reagers, guitarist Dave Chandler, bassist Mark Adams and drummer Armando Acosta. It would, however, be the last Saint Vitus album to feature Acosta before his death in 2010, and Reagers for 20 years until his return to the band in 2015.

By the time Saint Vitus had released its seventh album, "Die Healing" in 1995, the band had begun facing a sharp decline in their already minimal popularity after the release of the divisive ". D" album featuring Chritus Linderson (of Count Raven and Lord Vicar fame) on vocals.

Die Healing" seems like an attempt to re-create their first two albums. The band is quite successful at this yet as with every copy some dissatisfaction remains. The album was recorded in Germany, a country that has always praised and been loyal to Saint Vitus who weren't so popular in their homeland. At some point they even thought of moving here if I'm not wrong (but who would leave the Californian sun?). I would say the result is a sound that is "fuller".

Saint Vitus - Die Healing 8 songs lyrics: Dark World, One Mind, Let the End Begin, Trail of Pestilence, Sloth, Return of the Zombie, In the Asylum, Just Another Notch.

And although this swan song, much like its predecessor, found Saint Vitus putting almost all of their eggs in the basket of sluggish doom tempos, to the dismay of all but the most committed fans of the genre (lone exceptions being driving closer "Just Another Notch" and the quasi-thrashing mid-section of "Let the End Begin," featuring a Mark Adams bass solo), the vast superiority of Reagers' vibrato-laden voice over Lindersson's sleepy monotone made for a much stronger album, overall.
