Kerplunk is the second studio album by American rock band Green Day, released on December 17, 1991 by Lookout! Records. Kerplunk was Green Day's last independent release on the Lookout Records label, and was also the first album to feature Tré Cool on drums. The album sold 10,000 copies its first day and became Lookout!'s biggest selling release

Green Day is an American rock band formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. For much of the band's career, they have been a trio with drummer Tré Cool, who replaced John Kiffmeyer in 1990 prior to the recording of the band's second studio album, Kerplunk (1991). Green Day was originally part of the punk scene at the DIY 924 Gilman Street club in Berkeley, California. The band's early releases were with the independent record label Lookout! Records

Live Tracks, also known as Explosion Live in Japan, is a live EP by the American punk rock band Green Day, recorded live at the Jannus Landing, in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 11, 1994. It was released exclusively in Japan in 1995. This disc was also released as the Australian Souvenir EP in Australia for Insomniac. This EP is currently out of print.

Status: Partially Found. Cigarettes and Valentines is an unreleased album by pop-punk band Green Day, recorded in 2003. Meant to be a follow-up to their 2000 album Warning, the band claims that the master recordings were stolen close to the conclusion of production. Instead of re-recording the album, the band decided to move on and create something different, resulting in American Idiot.

The songs pre-date the punk icons’ debut album ’39/Smooth’, and were recorded live at the band’s opening gig for Killdozer at Berkeley Square on July 22, 1989. The track ‘Stay’ by leaning towards their more gentle ballad side, then builds into a noisey rock crescendo. The song has often been called ‘World vs. World’ by fans in the Green Day community, and is said to have been written for an unreleased indie film by frontman Billie Joe Armstrong’s brother.

It remains Green Day's best-selling album with over 16 million copies sold worldwide. Kerplunk Released: January 16, 1992 Green Day's second studio album was recorded in May and September of 1991 at Art of Ears Studio in San Francisco, CA, USA. The album was produced by Andy Ernst and Green Day, and released by Lookout! Records on Janaury 17, 1992. The album was later re-mastered and re-released on Reprise Records and Epitaph Europe on January 9, 2007. As of 2010 it has sold over 750,000 copies in the USA, and over 1 million worldwide.
