Still I Rise is a collaboration album by 2Pac and the Outlawz. The album excludes some of the original line up of the Outlawz, including Hussein Fatal, who had left the group as he had refused to sign to Death Row. The album contains all previously unreleased, albeit remixed material. It was released on December 21, 1999, by Interscope Records. The album features production from 2Pac's close producers Tony Pizarro, Johnny "J" and QDIII, and appearances from Big Syke and Nate Dogg.

Riot Act is the seventh studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on November 12, 2002 through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of its previous album, Binaural (2000), Pearl Jam took a year-long break. The band then reconvened in the beginning of 2002 and commenced work on a new album. The music on the record featured a diverse sound, including songs influenced by folk, art rock, and experimental rock. The album's singles featured three B-sides from the Riot Act recording sessions that weren't included on the album: "Down", "Undone" and "Other Side. Down" and "Undone" were B-sides on the "I Am Mine" single, and "Other Side" was featured on the "Save You" and "Love Boat Captain" singles. All three songs were included on the 2003 Lost Dogs collection of rarities, although "Undone" appeared in a slightly different form.

Addressing politics in pop is supposed to be a tricky balancing act, yet Idles frontman Joe Talbot charges across the tightrope in heavy boots, screaming in the face of the farce unfolding around him. There is untrammelled aggression in his voice, a directness that leaves spittle on your cheeks, but it is humour, not anger, that he uses as his most devastating weapon. Difficult as the subject matter could be, Joy As An Act of Resistance never feels suffocating. Whenever you feel you are gasping for air, a huge chorus or a burst of snarling wit comes along to puncture the gloom. The joy of the title might at first seem like yet another joke, but for all the bleakness, this is a cathartic and enlivening album.

The album art features an illustration of Clapton by artist Sir Peter Blake, who previously co-designed the sleeve for the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the Who’s Face Dances and others. I Still Do follows up Clapton’s 2014 record Eric Clapton & Friends: The Breeze, An Appreciation of JJ Cale. Clapton told Rolling Stone that year that he was planning on writing and recording another LP when head heard about the death of Cale, a singer-songwriter, in 2013. I always play into the unknown, he said of his guitar habits at the time.
