Mika Nakashima (中島 美嘉 Nakashima Mika, born February 19, 1983) is a Japanese singer and actress. Five of her studio albums, one of her mini-albums and one of her compilation albums have reached number one in Japan's Oricon album chart. She also embarked on an acting career, most notably as Nana Osaki in the live action film adaptations of Nana. Born and raised in Kyushu, Mika was the youngest of three children.

Yes is the eighth album by Mika Nakashima; it is the fourth album to be released under her own name. The album boasts a slower and more gospel-orientated arrangement.

Star is Mika Nakashima's 11th album (sixth studio release); it was released on October 27, 2010 in both CD only and CD+DVD formats. This album, which peaked at on the Oricon 200 Album Chart, sold only 92,962 copies in its first week. Its sales total later rose to 155,457 copies, 4 weeks after its release. However, this sales figure was still lower than the debut sale of her previous studio album, Voice. To date, the album has sold over 180,000 copies in Japan alone.

YES" is Mika Nakashima's fifth Japanese album and the fourth original album released under her own name. It boasts a slower, more gospel-orientated arrangement, but sticks to Mika's traditional formula of soft, light, almost 'adult contemporary' pop songs
