Singer/songwriter Richard Swift's lo-fi, sepia-toned style harks back to the Tin Pan Alley age. Influenced by everyone from Bob Dylan to early-'70s dub acts like the Congos and Lee Perry, he has released six records of his own. A self-taught, natural musician, Swift is a t who will often play all the instruments on album’s he produces. After albums released by Secretly Canadian Records and Polydor UK and the left field cult hit Lady Luck, Richard Swift was a semi-legend in the musical community

The album preceded Damien's next solo release, dubbed Saint Bartlett, which was released May 25, 2010 and was produced by label mate Richard Swift. After touring the album with Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground, Jurado began work on his next album. On February 21, 2012 he released his 10th studio album, Maraqopa, his sixth for Secretly Canadian. In January 2014 Jurado released Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son an album which marked the third straight collaboration with producer Richard Swift. LEM: Volume 1, January 2010 (2010, Flannelgraph Records/Crossroads of America). Clouds Beyond/Let As All In (Part of The Maraqopa Sessions) (2012, Secretly Canadian).

Richard Swift (March 16, 1977 – July 3, 2018) was an American singer, songwriter, t, producer and short-film maker.

It is a wonderful composition, the feeling and emotion I get from is simultaneously warm and fuzzy while also feeling far away.

Affection/Fondness In Love Daydreaming Heartache Comfort Imagination. Damien Jurado, Richard Swift. In a bit of a twist given the prolific songwriting output of its performers, Other People's Songs, Vol. 1 is a collection of covers from the duo of Damien Jurado and Richard Swift. The two first worked together when Swift produced Jurado’s album Saint Bartlett, which saw release in the spring of 2010.

Richard Swift - Losing Sleep (2005). Swift’s limited-pressing debut, 2003’s The Novelist, introduced a studio whiz who was equal parts precocious and ambitious, striving for pre-rock‘n’roll grandeur by DIY means. The follow-up, 2005’s Walking Without Effort, aimed even higher, towards the ornate pop of Burt Bacharach and Van Dyke Parks. That same year, the two albums were released as The Richard Swift Collection Volume One by Swift’s longtime label home, Secretly Canadian  . Another Ground Trouble Jaw song, Lady Luck, may actually be Swift’s most familiar. He re-recorded it for his next proper album, The Atlantic Ocean, and it has since been used in ads and on TV shows.
