Born to Mack is the fourth studio album and debut major label album by American rapper Too Short. The album was released on July 20, 1987 Too Short. It was originally released in the summer of 1987 by Dangerous Music and in 1988 through Jive/RCA, although Jive Records logos did not appear on it until it was released on compact disc in 1989.

Short dog dropped this gem a definite must have in your hip hop collection. This album made the Source's 100 best hip hop album list.

BORN TO MACK is the first full length album by Oakland native Too Short, and his first major album release. Originally released on Dangerous Music in 1987 and was a nationwide underground sensation. Featuring the classic track ‘Freaky Tales’ this is the album that launched Too Short to stardom. In 1998, the album was selected as one of The Source’s 100 Best Rap Albums, and the song ‘Freaky Tales’ reached on the 100 Greatest Rap Songs. Reissued on 180 gram vinyl by Plain Recordings.
