After a full decade of lying in limbo, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame opened its doors in the fall of 1995. For all the talent involved, it's nearly depressing that the album is this lifeless. Perhaps if the artists were captured in a different setting, the album would have been much more interesting.

A portion of the proceeds received by Columbia Records will be donated to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

As this album underscored, Led Zeppelin's blues-based approach to rock & roll was a study in contrasts. The former was also one of the most gifted, versatile drummer. Hard rock and heavy metal as we know it wouldn't exist without Led Zeppelin, one of the most popular and innovative rock bands ever. The band's blues explosions frequently gave way to heavy folk, mystical psychedelic rock and orchestral detours–a testament to the . group's versatility and willingness to push sonic boundaries.
