As Long as I Have You is the tenth solo album by Roger Daltrey, released on 1 June 2018. Work on As Long as I Have You was started shortly after Going Back Home was released in March 2014. Following his seven-month battle with viral meningitis, Daltrey planned on shelving the project until Pete Townshend heard the early mixes and expressed interest in playing rhythm and lead guitar. Recording continued during breaks on The Who's 50th anniversary tour, The Who Hits 50!

John Paul Hammond (born November 13, 1942 in New York City) is an American singer and musician. The son of record producer John H. Hammond, he is sometimes referred to as John Hammond Jr. Hammond is a son of record producer and talent scout John H. Hammond and his first wife, Jemison McBride, an actress. He is a descendant of Cornelius Vanderbilt, the patriarch of the prominent Vanderbilt family.

On June 1, a week before Roger Daltrey begins a tour where he'll perform Tommy with an orchestra, the Who singer will release As Long as I Have You. This will be Daltrey's first record since Going Back Home, his 2014 collaboration with Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson. As Long as I Have You includes covers of songs written by Stephen Stills ("How Far"), Stevie Wonder ("You Haven't Done Nothing"), Nick Cave ("Into My Arms") and Garnet Mimms (the title track). The album features Pete Townshend’s inimitable guitar on seven tracks as well as guest performances from Mick Talbot on keyboards (Dexys, The Style Council) and Sean Genockey on lead guitar who has worked with Suede, Shame and The Proclaimers). Daltrey, Townshend, Entwistle and Moon changed their name from The High Numbers and became The Who. Roger Daltrey says of As Long As I Have You: This is a return to the very beginning, to the time before Pete started writing our songs, to a time when we were a teenage band playing soul music to small crowds in church halls.
