The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show" is the fourteenth episode in the eighth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on February 9, 1997. In the episode, The Itchy & Scratchy Show attempts to regain viewers by introducing a new character named Poochie, whose voice is provided by Homer.

Poochie is a character on The Itchy & Scratchy Show. The network executives decided that the show needed an "update" to keep the interest of its audience, so they devised Poochie, a cartoon dog "with an attitude". Poochie has a song, the Poochie rap. After widespread auditions, Homer was chosen to provide Poochie's voice.

Poochie is a one-toothed mystical cloud creature who lives off of cuddles and cotton candy! Just like me, she's in love with CHIMMY! (you could say that chimmy is her ultimate bias). She's a happy go lucky 98% of the time! But the other 2% she's either v e r y mad or e x t r e m e l y sleepy :joy: Although, the only times she gets mad is when she doesn't get hugs and Nutella (she's pretty clingy too). This is how poochie looks like in a normal mood! She's just a plop of pink and white fluff most of the time.
