Erra (stylized as ERRA) is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released four EPs and studio albums to date. Their latest album, titled Neon, was released on August 10, 2018. They have toured with bands such as August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July.

Musically, perhaps no band in the 21st Century has mined that relationship more consistently or effectively than Japan’s MONO. Nowhere Now Here also sees MONO’s first-ever lineup change, adding new drummer Dahm Majuri Cipolla (The Phantom Family Halo) to the core trio of Goto, Tamaki, and Yoda. Tamaki also makes her vocal debut here, singing into the shadows of vintage Nico on the poetically hazy Breathe. The unlikely career of MONO has taken them to virtually every corner of the planet, several times over.

Erra is a five piece progressive metalcore band hailing from Birmingham, Alabama that formed in 2009. Their name sake comes from Akkadian mythology and represents mayhem-something that comes to mind when giving them a listen. They take their influences from well respected groups like Misery Signals, Born of Osiris, As I Lay Dying and Saosin. It's easily the best album I've listened to from any corner of the 21st century metal scene in a long time, and I listen to all kinds. It is an awesome, awesome production that definitely sets Erra apart from the rest of the crowd. I just wish it had been a little more progressive and a little less metal.

I play guitar and sing in the band Erra, and also write and record music with a solo project called Ghost Atlas. Ask me whatever you want, and feel free to discuss things unrelated to music (I actually think other subjects are usually more fun). I'm a fan of movies and like music of all kinds so "let your mind drift" into all kinds of creative conversation avenues (I'm stupid).
