Popincourt himself is admittedly very influenced by the Style Council (though my ears also hear a close similarity to Eggstone), with his songs exhibiting a classy sound filled with trumpets, subtle organs, female backing vocals and jazzy guitar chords  . A simply beautiful and pure janglepop song in the vein of Choo Choo Train or the first Posies album may start off the record, but soon afterwards you realize that this French band's sound is much more varied than that.
