Profile: Portuguese band, formed in 1977, disbanded in 1991.

The title can be translated roughly as "enough longing", though the Portuguese word saudade carries with it more complex meaning. In 2001, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In the same year, it was made an inaugural member of the Latin Grammy Hall of Fame. It was listed by Rolling Stone Brazil as the fourth best Brazilian album in history.

Trovante" started in the summer of 1976 in Sagres, when a group of friends (João Nuno Represas, Luís Represas, Manuel Faria, João Gil and Artur Costa) got together to make music. In 1977 they recorded their first record Chão Nosso, with an heavy political (leaning towards communism) content and a traditional Portuguese sound.

They began work on the debut album entitled The Peace of Solitude. The music can be described as a passage of sorrow and pain. Each instrument tells its own story and the band tried to make sure this was brought out in the production and mixes.
