Listen to music from Margaret Dygas like Missing You Less, Country Way Of Life & more

Like kindred spirit Ricardo Villalobos, Margaret Dygas explores the experimental potential within the trappings of club music in a way that rarely calls attention to itself.

Talk about Margaret Dygas - Margaret Dygas

Conjulhala
Over all this is a nice LP. At times, it sounds like its reaching to the Romanian sound ( i.e. "dinner techno"), but does not have the depth and color as some of the Romanian heavy hitters. There is a interesting progression to this LP, that ends on a somewhat subdued note. Perlon does a nice job of releasing music that blends dance floor requirements with home listening necessitates.

this is the right point of view McM, the others should urgently do some homework in this complex kind of music.

I wouldn't say "it sounds like its reaching the Romanian sound". I'm a big fan of those guys, believe me, but their tracks in compare to this album are completely different sides of the same drawer, called minimal. Romanians music is more groovy, while Dygas is bringing out something else. Fantastic, completely shattered grooves ("Obinhs groove", "soon" e.g.) are striated with moody, sometimes repetitious, sometimes just wonky different layers, spaced out came-from-nowhere chords. This is absolutely madness but concurrently, as patolomeus said, elegant tracks. One-off pearl of perlon sea.

Very cool! Petre is classy, and that Fabric mix is essential. Also check out Cristi Cons and Adrian Niculae. http://dubtek.tumblr.com/

"dinner techno" so accurate i played petre inspirescu's fabric mix for a group dinner in milan and it was perfect

Listening to this now i have to say this record sounds as good as ever. Elegant tracks with just the right amount of experimentation. A Perlon favourite.
